Gazprom, Kogas signed LNG cooperation agreement

The agreement also sets forth main areas of interaction in research, energy saving, environment protection and gas fuel

MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. Gazprom and Korea’s Kogas signed a cooperation agreement, the Russian gas holding said on Friday.

The document was signed by Chief Executive Officer of Gazprom Alexei Miller and President of Kogas Lee Seung-hun, the Russian company said.

"The document stipulates development of partnership between Gazprom and Kogas in the sphere of LNG supplies from the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea. The agreement also reflects intention of the parties to implement joint LNG production, shipping and regasification projects and projects in gas-fired power generation sphere," Gazprom said.

The agreement also sets forth main areas of interaction in research, energy saving, environment protection and gas fuel.
