Sales of passenger cars in Russia rise first time since December 2014

Sales of passenger cars increased by 0.6% in November

MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. Sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCV) in Russia in November 2016 increased by 0.6% and amounted to 132,346 cars. Positive dynamics was achieved for the first time since December 2014, according to the report of the Association of European Businesses.

"November sales produce the first month with a positive year-on-year result in almost 2 years (last time seen in December 2014). It is good to be able to say such a thing after all, but it is far too early to read a trend turnaround into this. For now, all eyes are on December which has the potential to demonstrate that the market continues to move in the right direction," Joerg Schreiber, Chairman of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee commented on the results.
