Russia, Japan to create joint venture fund — RDIF Chief Executive

Establishment of the Russian-Japanese venture fund is conditioned by high interest of investors from Japan to joint projects in the high technologies sphere, Kirill Dmitriev said

LIMA, November 19. /TASS/. Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) plans to set up a venture fund in cooperation with Japan, Chief Executive of RDIF Kirill Dmitriev said on the sidelines of the APEC forum in Peru.

"China and we have recently announced establishment of a venture fund and a similar venture fund is planned to be set up jointly with Japan. The decision has already been made. We will announce it during the visit of the President [Russian President Vladimir Putin to Japan - TASS] in December," Dmitriev said. The RDIF is working with all APEC member-nations, he added.
