Putin urges to hold budget deficit within 3.7% of GDP

MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said it is necessary to keep the federal budget within the planned values 3.7% of GDP. "There are certain risks of deficit growth ... We must strive to ensure to hold the deficit within the law," he said at a meeting on economic issues.

Putin noted that according to the plan, deficit should amount to 3.7%, but there is the risk of it growing by 0.1-0.2 percentage points.

Putin added that inflation is also kept within acceptable limits. According to him, since the beginning of the year to November 7 the figure was 4.7%. "In general, this is a good figure," Putin said.
