Package of documents signed during Russian PM’s visit to Palestine

In particular, the two countries signed an intergovernmental agreement on the encouragement and protection of capital investments

JERICHO, November 11. /TASS/. A package of bilateral documents has been signed on Friday during Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to Palestine following his talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Russian head of government and the Palestinian leader.

In particular, the two countries signed an intergovernmental agreement on the encouragement and protection of capital investments. Russia’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection Maksim Topilin and Palestinian Minister of Labor Maumoon Abu Shahla signed a plan for implementation of bilateral cooperation in the field of occupational health and safety, employment and professional training, to be effective in 2017-18.

The Russian and Palestinian culture ministries signed a joint statement on conducting Russian Culture Days in Palestine and Palestinian Culture Days in Russia in 2016-17. Russia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture signed an agreement on mutual cooperation.

In addition, Palestine’s General Commission of industrial cities and free industrial zones signed Memorandums of understanding with Russia’s Association of clusters and technoparks and Special Economic Zones company.
