MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. Sberbank is going to launch Samsung Pay service for smartphones on November 8, according to the press release published on Monday.
Sberbank will become the first Russian bank to introduce Samsung Pay.
"Sberbank clients can now use convenient service Samsung Pay and pay for purchases in one touch from their smartphones, anywhere where any payment cards can be used," Deputy Chairman of Sberbank Alexander Torbakhov said.

Apple Pay system was introduced by Apple Inc. in September 2014. The payment system allows purchases using NFC (Near Field Communication) technology on smartphones, which can be used for payment in actual stores by holding an iPhone near the reader or within apps.
In the fall 2015, Apple’s South Korean competitor - Samsung - also announced the launch of its own NFC payment system called Samsung Pay.
