Over 20 flights cancelled at Moscow airports due to unfavorable weather conditions

MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. More than 20 flights have been cancelled, while over ten flights will be delayed at Moscow airports because of adverse weather conditions, according to the Yandex.ru website.

As of 8.30am, seven flights have been cancelled at the Domodedovo airport, seven more will be delayed. At the Sheremetyevo airport, four flights have been delayed and 16 others have been cancelled, while at the Vnukovo airport all flights will depart in accordance with the schedule.

Aeroflot, Russia’s largest airline, earlier said that it had amended its flight schedule because of unfavorable weather conditions at the Sheremetyevo airport. Flights to Samara, Kazan, Rostov and Warsaw have been cancelled. According to Aeroflot, 38 domestic and international flights will be delayed.

Meteorologists promise cloudy, wet and windy weather in Moscow and the Moscow region on Thursday, with snowfall and icy road conditions.
