SOCHI, October 27. /TASS/. Russian Energy Ministry is maintaining intensive contacts with Venezuela with the aim of reaching arrangements contributing to stabilization on oil markets, press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
"Many contacts take place. If you remember, there was a meeting in Istanbul where issues largely related to bilateral interaction were discussed but matters of interaction in terms of efforts to stabilize the global oil market were also considered," Peskov said. "An assignment was given in this regard to energy ministers to proceed with contacts," he added.
"Fairly intensive correspondence is indeed carried on," Peskov said.
