MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Russia’s oil pipeline monopoly Transneft has found out about the existence of a company registered in the UK under the name JSC Transneft Ltd which has no connection to the Russian company, Transneft said in a press release.
According to the press release the name of the company spelled in Latin letters is same as the official name of Transneft and the members of the current management of Transneft are indicated as founders of the company.
"JSC Transneft Ltd, registered in England and Wales with office located at Crown House 72 Hammersmith Rd Hammersmith London W14 8, has no connection to Transneft or its subsidiaries. The management of Transneft is not represented in the management of JSC Transneft Ltd," according to the statement.
The company did not rule out that the registration of JSC Transneft Ltd in the UK register of public companies was made by unidentified persons with the purpose of fraud and defamation of the Russian company.
Earlier Russian oil company Tatneft also warned about the existence of a fake company registered in Southern Wares under the name PJSC Tatneft Ltd , which actually repeats the name of the Russian oil producer in Latin spelling.
