Gazprom sets new absolute record of daily gas supplies to non-CIS countries

MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. Gazprom set a new daily record of natural gas supplies to non-CIS countries amounting to 578.9 mln cubic meters on October 18, press service of the Russian gas holding said on Wednesday.

"Winter has not started yet but the demand for Russian gas in non-CIS countries is such as if it is bitter cold in Europe. This is one more proof that Russian gas is highly competitive and strongly sought for on the European market," Chief Executive Officer of Gazprom Alexei Miller said in a comment.

This evidences the need of having new gas transportation routes for reliable gas delivery to foreign consumers, Nord Stream-2 and Turkish Stream in particular.
