MOSCOW, October 18. /TASS/. Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom and Paraguay’s Radiological and Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ARRN) have signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the area of peaceful use of nuclear energy.
The document was signed on Tuesday by Rosatom Deputy Director General Nikolai Spassky and Paraguayan Foreign Minister Eladio Loizaga.
The document "provides for cooperation between the two countries in such sectors as development nuclear medicine, joint production of isotopes, construction of irradiation plants for agricultural produce," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
