ISTANBUL, October 9. /TASS/. Turkey and Russia may sign a free trade agreement by the end of 2017, Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci said on Sunday after his talks with Russian Minister of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukayev.
"We hope our countries will be able to finish the work on a free trade agreement and sign it by the end of 2017," he said.
The Turkish minister said that at his meeting with Ulyukayev they had discussed a four-year medium-term cooperation program. The program, in his words, is expected to be signed at the next meeting of the top-level cooperation council in the presence of the two countries’ leaders.
