BAKU, September 26. /TASS/. A gas gusher on well 71 at Guneshli offshore field in Azerbaijan was contained, head of press service of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Nizameddin Guliev told TASS on Monday.
"The gas gusher occurred as a result of low pressure gas leak was contained," Guliev said. No gas inflammation occurred in the well as wrongly reported earlier by certain mass media, he said.
"There was no fire outbreak on the field," Guliev added.
Nobody among 49 individuals on duty suffered as a result of the incident, Guliev said.
