US Federal Reserve System keeps base interest rate at 0.25-0.5%

WASHINGTON, September 21. /TASS/. The US Federal Reserve System acting as the national central bank keeps the base interest rate at 0.25-0.5%, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) said Wednesday after the meeting.

The Federal Reserve increased the base interest rate by 0.25 percentage points to 0.25-0.5% in December 2015. The rate was within the range of 0-0.
