MOSCOW, September 10. /TASS/. Rosatom expects from Bulgaria information about when it will pay compensation for terminated Belene project, the Russian company said on Saturday.
"The Russian side insists on a necessary urgent fulfilment of the arbitration court decision and settlement of the outstanding debt by the Bulgarian side," the company's Communications Department said. "The Russian side is waiting for the Bulgarian side to send information on time the debt will be settled."
On September 9, Bulgaria hosted a meeting of the Russian-Bulgarian working group on fulfilment of the court decision. Bulgaria’s NEK should compensate the Russian company for termination of the Belene NPP construction the sum of €620 million. Besides, until the compensation is paid in full, the daily payable penalty is €167,000.
