MOSCOW, September 2. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has instructed the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade to hold negations with Bahrain and sign an agreement establishing an intergovernmental commission for trade, economic and sci-tech cooperation.
The instruction was posted on the official Internet portal for legal information. Under the document, sessions of the commission are planned once a year. If necessary, a possibility is envisaged to hold unscheduled sessions upon consultation between the parties.
The life-time of the agreement is five years after it comes into effect. It is automatically extended for another five years if none of the parties has warned six months in advance about plans to terminate it.
The commission is tasked with determining the main directions in cooperation between Russia and Bahrain, contributing to deepening cooperation of the two states as well as determining other sectors or projects for cooperation in trade-economic and scientific-technical fields.
