VLADIVOSTOK, August 31. /TASS/. Decision-making on retirement savings freeze matter is in the competence of the Russian government, press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday, commenting on the decision to extend the pension investment part freeze.
"These questions should be addressed to the government; this is the government’s decision," Peskov said. He did not disclose the opinion of President Putin on this issue. "I cannot tell you now," Peskov said.
It was decided to freeze retirement savings, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets told journalists earlier on Wednesday.
"Retirement savings will be frozen," Golodets said adding that transfer to the pension fund is not planned.
