Moscow, Seoul agree on expansion of Russia’s Far East development

SEOUL, August 25. /TASS/. Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev and South Korea’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho have agreed to assume measures aimed at spurring development of Russia’s Far East, the Foreign Ministry of South Korea reported Thursday.

"The sides have reached agreements on cooperation in the economic, scientific and technologies areas," the ministry said following the meeting of the intergovernmental commission.

Annual talks at the level of deputy heads of governments have been held prior to the 2nd Eastern Economic Forum that will be held in Vladivostok on September 2-3.
