Power supply recovered in all regions after Russian plant accident — energy ministry

Collapse of a coupling capacitor of 220 kV overhead power line occurred at Reftinskaya regional power plant (Enel Russia, Sverdlovsk Region) with oil release and fire outbreak

MOSCOW, August 22. /TASS/. Power supplies to consumers tripped in Ural and Siberian regions after the accident at Reftinskaya regional power plant (Enel Russia, Sverdlovsk Region) have been completely restored," press service of the Energy Ministry told TASS on Monday.

"All the consumers are energized for the time being," the press service said referring to all earlier tripped regions.

Russia’ national grid system recovered in Urals and Siberia after an accident at Reftinskaya regional power plant, the Federal Grid Company said earlier. Production shutdown at Tobolskneftekhim and voltage tripping at Lukoil’s enterprises were reported before.

The accident resulted in interrupted power supply of household consumers and cascade tripping in the national grid system.
