India’s Embassy in Moscow to hold series of events to attract Russians

The ambassador says New Delhi is doing its utmost to attract Russians’ attention

MOSCOW, August 15. /TASS/. The Embassy of India in Moscow will hold a number of campaigns within the coming months aimed at increasing the flow of Russian tourists to the country, Indian Ambassador to Russia, Pankaj Saran, has told TASS.

The diplomat said New Delhi is doing its utmost to attract Russians’ attention. "In the next few months, our embassy will hold a series of campaigns to promote Russian tourism in India," he said. "Russians visit Goa most often, but we want to introduce them to other states and persuade them that vacationing in our country is absolutely safe."

Ambassador Saran pointed to the growing interest by Indian tourists in visiting Russia.

"Today millions of Indians have an opportunity to travel around the world, and we hope that Russia will be one of the destinations they will visit," he stressed.
