Google to study Russian antimonopoly regulator's decision

The regulator announced $6.7 mln fine for Google

MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. The US Google Corporation will examine the decision made by the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) and determine its further actions after that, press service of Google told TASS on Thursday.

FAS determined the fine for Google related to violations of antimonopoly laws in the amount of 438 mln rubles ($6.7 mln) earlier today. The regulator hopes the company will perform the decision and pay the fine shortly, Deputy Head of FAS Alexei Dotsenko said.

"We received the notice of fine imposition from FAS. We will attentively examine the decision prior to determining further action," Google said.

Meanwhile Google continues to cooperate with all the interested parties, press service of the corporation added.

Consultations on a settlement agreement with Google continue despite the announced amount of the fine, press service of FAS told TASS earlier.
