MOSCOW, August 3. /TASS/. Russian Finance Ministry will present a roadmap on pilot introduction of the tax-free system in Russia to the government in August, a representative of the ministry told TASS on Wednesday.
"The roadmap will be presented in August," the Finance Ministry said.
TASS reported earlier the tax-free pilot project in Russia is planned for implementation in large stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Sochi. Luxury segment stores will most probably take part in the project at the initial stage.
Tax-free is a system of VAT refund on purchases made by foreign citizens. The refund amount varies from 7% to 20% in different countries.
