Crimea is an attractive region in terms of investing

SIMFEROPOL, July 29. /TASS/. Crimea needs cooperation with French investors, speaker of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov said on Friday at a meeting with a visiting delegation of French lawmakers.

"We need large-scale cooperation [with French investors - TASS]. Crimea is an attractive region in terms of investing," he said.

Konstantinov pledged that the Crimean authorities are ready to collaborate with French businessmen "in the agricultural sector where a spectrum of offers is now very wide," and in the "resort sphere which is developing dynamically." "After 2018 [when the Kerch bridge is to be commissioned - TASS], we will have ten million vacationers a year," he said, adding that up to six million vacationers are expected this years. In 2015, Crimea received 4.6 million vacationers.

Apart from that, he invited French businessmen to invest in Crimea’s transport and energy sectors.

A delegation of 11 French lawmakers led by French National Assembly member and co-chairman of the Franco-Russian Dialogue Association Thierry Mariani arrived on a three-day visit to Crimea on Friday. The program of the visit includes meetings with the local authorities, local residents and the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Alexander Vitko. The French lawmakers will also take part in celebrations of the Navy Day in Sevastopol. Apart from that, the French lawmakers will visit the Massandra winery. The delegation is accompanied by member of the Russian State Duma lower parliament house Leonid Slutsky, like a year ago.
