TOKYO, July 19. /TASS/. Russian Economic Development Minister Alexey Ulyukayev’s visit to Tokyo will provide an opportunity to promote bilateral cooperation in the sphere of economy, Japan’s Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Hiroshige Seko said on Tuesday.
"Your visit presents an opportunity to promote cooperation for development of relations between our countries in general, including such political aspects as signing a peace treaty, as well as economy and culture," he said. The Japanese official noted that he plans to discuss issues of bilateral economic cooperation with Ulyukayev, including the 8-point program of cooperation proposed earlier by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Ulyukayev is currently in Tokyo with an official visit. He will hold several meetings with Japanese officials and businessmen.
