Real effective ruble rate against foreign exchange up 7.5% in 2016 — Central Bank

The index of real effective ruble rate against the dollar rose by 0.5% month-on-month against the dollar in June 2016

MOSCOW, July 8. /TASS/. The real effective ruble rate against foreign currencies grew by 7.5% in January - June 2016 and by 1.2% in June, the Bank of Russia said on Friday.

The index of real effective ruble rate against the dollar rose by 0.5% month-on-month against the dollar and by 1.4% against the euro in June 2016.

The real effective ruble rate against foreign currencies declined 8.6% year-on-year in the first half of 2016. The real effective ruble rate fell 12.8% against the dollar and 11.8% against the euro on an annualized basis in the first half of 2016.
