Russia's Far East socioeconomic programs funding remains priority — PM

The government will try to keep all the achievements in development of the Far East in recent years

YAKUTSK, July 6. /TASS/. Financing of Far East socioeconomic development programs remains a priority of the Russian government, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday. The Cabinet will try to keep all the expenses for the regional development programs, he said during the visit to the Russian region of Yakutia.

"There should be no doubt financing of socioeconomic development of the Far East and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) remains our priority," the Prime Minister said.

The government will try to keep all the achievements in development of the Far East in recent years, Medvedev said.

"We will try to keep all expenses under Far East development program and to preserve other positions pertaining to socioeconomic programs implemented directly in the Far East and in the republic," he added.
