YAKUTSK, July 6. /TASS/. Maintaining stability and balance of the Russian federal budget for 2017-2019 is a priority government task, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday.
"A stable balanced budget is the government priority for 2017, 2018, and 2019," the premier said.
Stability is needed not merely for the sake of stability but to reach new heights in national development, Medvedev said. "This is related to programs we are currently implementing, including the Far East development programs," he said.
Budgeting has already started and the first meeting of the budgetary commission discussing approaches to 2017-2019 budget was held earlier on Monday, Medvedev added.
