GORKI, July 1. /TASS/. The Strategic Development Council established by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday will particularly deal with development of the investment climate and the small business, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Friday.
"The decision made by the President to set up the Strategic Development and Priority Projects Council will have a dimension related to the small business, sole entrepreneurs and essentially with the business climate," Medvedev said.
Improvement of investment climate "is one of the most challenging topics for the government," Medvedev said. This work "provides certain results, probably not as quick as we desire but changes take place," he added.
Business climate improvement work is carried out in different formats and the Strategic Development Council will also contribute to it, Medvedev said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on establishment of the Strategic Development and Priority Projects Council on June 30. Putin will preside over the Council and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev was appointed his deputy.
