Russia's Transaero may cooperate with another airline to start flights — CEO

MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. The distressed Russian air carrier Transaero is viewing two options of receiving an operator’s certificate entitling to start flights, Chief Executive Officer of the company Alexander Burdin told TASS on Thursday.

"If we are unable to challenge revocation of the operator’s certificate in court, then we may apply for a new certificate," Burdin said. An option of merging, acquiring or cooperating with an airline having the operator’s certificate is also considered, he added.

Transaero’s certificate was canceled in October 2015 in view of critical financial situation in the company.
