ST. PETERSBURG, June 30. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia may issue its pilot bonds in November, First Deputy Chairperson of the regulator Dmitry Tulin said on Thursday.
"We plan to perform the pilot operation [offering of Central Bank bonds - TASS] by the end of the year definitely, probably in November," Tulin said.
The volume of bonds will grow as the need arises and in case of surplus liquidity against the background of demand for Bank of Russia’s bonds, the official said. "However, uncertainty regarding the value of such surplus liquidity is high. Much depends on sovereign funds’ spending rates," Tulin added.
