MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. Ukraine requests to supply 3 bln cubic meters of gas in the third quarter of 2016, Chief Executive Officer of Gazprom Alexei Miller said on Thursday.
"Volumes the Ukrainian colleagues are requesting for the third quarter are fairly significant - 3 bln cubic meters of gas," Miller said.
According to the official, natural gas price for Ukraine in the third quarter of 2016 will stand at $167.57 per thousand cubic meters.
"The price for Ukraine equals $167.57 [per 1,000 cubic meters - TASS] according to the price formula under the contract signed in 2009," Miller said.
The effective contract between Gazprom and Ukraine does not require any supplements and only prepayment is required to resume gas supplies.
"Naftogaz of Ukraine should just make a prepayment for supplies to be resumed. Gazprom will definitely supply as much gas to our colleagues as it is paid for. The existing contract does not require any supplements to resume gas supplies to Ukraine. To this end the prepayment is only needed," Miller said.
According to the CEO, the debt for Russian natural gas deliveries to Southeast Ukraine amounts to $718.5 mln.
"Gas is supplied to the southeast under the same contract as to all other regions of Ukraine. The amount accumulated to date is $718.5 mln," the official said.
A single contract closed in 2009 and signed by Naftogaz of Ukraine exists between Gazprom and Ukraine, Miller said. The contract sets forth "gas delivery points for Ukraine, including entry points in the Southeast Ukraine," he added.
"Naftogaz of Ukraine did not sign any documents with Gazprom changing entry points," Miller added.
