BERLIN, June 23. /TASS/. Gazprom confirms that Poland has asked it to supply 11 bln cubic meters of gas via the Nord Stream-2 pipeline, the company’s Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev told reporters.

"As part of requests for transportation capacities, the Polish side has asked us for (the gas supply), what (do they need it for) it does not matter," he said.

The auction for Nord Stream-2 capacity will take place in 2017. Medvedev refused to give any details.

Furthermore, Gazprom plans to hold the Nord Stream-2 pipes laying option this fall, he said.

"The tender will be held this year, in fall," Medvedev said, adding that it will cover the onshore pipeline segment.
