KEMEROVO, June 3. /TASS/. All miners from the Zarechnaya mine in Western Siberia’s Kuzbass region have been evacuated, the administration of the Kemerovo Region said on Friday.
"It was earlier reported that the work at the Zarechnaya mine has been suspended because of smoke in a transformer, and evacuation of over 100 miners was underway. According to regional department of the Emergencies Ministry, coal extraction was not performed at the mine at the moment of receiving information about smoke," the administration said.
