MOSCOW, May 31. /TASS/. Gazprom will hold negotiations with Azerbaijan on potential gas supplies from Russia in June, Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said on Tuesday.
"The Azerbaijani side is also interested [in supplies of Russian gas - TASS] and we will hold the next meeting and clarify the demand of the Azerbaijani party in the coming future, probably even at the St. Petersburg [International] Economic Forum," Medvedev said, adding that the country "needs Russian gas."
According to Medvedev, Gazprom takes "the requests of long-term contractors" seriously. Also, he said, the company has "possibilities, resources and transport capacity" for delivering gas to Azerbaijan.
