Russia not to attend OPEC summit even at expert level — energy ministry

Russia hasn't been invited to take part in the event

SOCHI, May 30. /TASS/. Russia will not attend the OPEC summit even at the expert level, Deputy Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky said Monday.

"No, no one invited us," he said when asked whether expert-level meetings will be held at the OPEC summit in Vienna.

OPEC consists of 13 members, which are oil-exporting countries - Angola, Venezuela, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador and Algeria. The cartel’s members control around 70% of global oil reserves and account for one third of the world’s crude production.
