SOCHI, May 18. /TASS/. Russia is inviting the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to take part in its infrastructure projects, President Vladimir Putin said at the meeting with head of AIIB Jin Liqun.
"We can offer a number of interesting projects in Russia. These are expansion of the TranSiberian mainline, development of the Northern Sea Route, special economic zones in Russia’s Far East," Putin said.
The Northern Sea Route is the shortest route connecting Europe with the Far East, with the Asia-Pacific and the western part of North America.
