"We have not received anything," she said.
The European Commission (EC) earlier said it had sent a letter to Russia and Ukraine regarding the ministerial gas meeting.
"As re-iterated many times before, the Commission stands ready as a mediator to peruse the path of trilateral gas talks EU-Russia-Ukraine if both sides wish so. Respective assistance has been offered in a letter sent by [EC] Vice President Maros Sefcovic to the Russian and Ukrainian Energy Ministers. The Commission has received a positive reply by the Ukrainian Minister," the EC said.
At the same time, the EC refused to indicate any possible meeting dates. "Too early to discuss any potential date," its representative said.
