Russia’s second biggest oil company Lukoil also seeks to purchase Bashneft shares

MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. The Independent Oil and Gas Company (NNK) owned by former Rosneft CEO Edward Hudaynatov is interested in buying a controlling stake in Bashneft, the company told TASS citing the official commentary of the NNK head.

"We have also made a proposal on arranging the sale of a controlling stake in Bashneft so that the synergy from this would be aimed at the development of the Russian Far East," Hudaynatov said.

Three options of Bashneft’s privatization are being considered: the sale of 25%, 50% or 75% of the company’s shares.
