ST. PETERSBURG, April 1. /TASS/. Austrian OMV expects decision of the antimonopoly authorities on the purchase of shares in the project company Nord Stream-2 this summer, Chairman of the Executive Board of OMV AG Rainer Seele told journalists Friday.
"We expect it this summer. I would have liked it to happen yesterday, because I want to work with Nord Stream-2," he said.
Gazprom and Austrian company OMV identified assets for exchange, according to the joint statement by the companies after Head of Gazprom Alexey Miller and Chairman of the Executive Board of OMV AG Rainer Seele signed a number of documents on Friday.
"Second agreement on the main terms of the exchange of assets was signed. The document, in particular, identified assets that will participate in the transaction on the part of OMV," the statement said.
According to Seele, OMV offers assets on the Norwegian shelf and in the North Sea to Gazprom for exchange.
"We are talking about the North Sea. If you look at the list of assets, it is easy to see. This refers to operating companies, all focused on the oil and gas sector," he said, adding that this implies mining companies.
Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller said was going to complete assessment of the OMV assets for exchange in 2016.
"The agreement that we signed today contains a list of assets. With regard to the assessment, we are going to conduct it, and we hope that it will be completed in 2016," the statement said.
The joint press release also says OMV is going to buy oil from Gazprom portfolio.
"According to the document, Gazprom is going to sell REBCO oil to OMV on FOB terms in 2016. Additionally, the agreement includes the possibility of delivering SILCO oil to OMV," the statement said.
