Turkish dry cargo ship arrested in Russia's Taganrog port

The court said the Lira, a Turkish owned dry cargo ship, has been arrested to meet the maritime claim of OOO SGM-Most Company with an aim to recover the inflicted damage by action

SOCHI, March 23 /TASS/. The captain of the Taganrog port on the Azov Sea has been forbidden to let the Lira dry cargo vessel leave the port following an order from the Court of Arbitration of Russia’s southern Rostov region, the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport said.

The court said the Lira, a Turkish owned dry cargo ship, has been arrested to meet the maritime claim of OOO SGM-Most Company with an aim to recover the inflicted damage by action, the federal agency said.

The ship’s owner has received a maritime claim to compensate the damage.

The SGM-Most company is to file a lawsuit on the maritime claim before April 14, 2016.
