WASHINGTON, March 16. /TASS/. The US Federal Reserve System acting as the national central bank keeps the base interest rate at 0.25-0.5%, the Federal Open Market Committee said Wednesday after the meeting.
The Federal Reserve decided to keep the base interest rate at the level of 0.25-0.5% at the prior meeting held on January 26-27. The regulator increased the rate by 0.25% in December 2015.
