KIEV, March 16. /TASS/. The number of millionaires registered in Ukraine tripled in 2015 to exceed 900 people, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine press service said on Wednesday.
"According to the State Fiscal Service data, a total of 903 Ukrainians registered their incomes higher than one million hryvni ($37,300)," the statement said, adding that in 2014 the figure was 258 Ukrainian nationals.
The total sum of declared incomes amounts to 4.6 billion hryvni ($171 million).
The State Fiscal Service said they received more than 105,000 declarations of incomes for the last year.
The final sum of declared incomes is 15% higher than it was in 2014, the service added.
The principal sum of income taxes for citizens doubled this year comparing with the figures of 2015.
In 2016, Ukrainians must pay more than 233 million hryvni ($8.6 million), which is 54% higher than in March 2015, when the sum was 81.8 million hryvni ($3 million) less.
