BAKU, March 14. /TASS/. The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is in talks with Russia’s gas giant Gazprom as well as with Iran on annual purchases of 3 bln cubic meters of gas, its president Rovnag Ibrahim Abdullayev said Monday.
SOCAR has submitted its proposals to Gazprom, he said. "We’re still interested in purchasing Russian gas," president said, adding that the company is also negotiating swap seasonal gas supplies with Iran as huge amounts of Iranian gas remain unused in summer.
