NOVOSIBIRSK, March 3. /TASS/. Russia’s Katod Enterprise in Novosibirsk in West Siberia is planning to capture at least a 20% share of the world night-vision device market by 2018, Katod CEO Vladimir Loktionov said on Thursday.
Katod Enterprise is the producer of night-vision devices and electro-optical image converters.
"As a whole, we have captured nearly a 12% share of the world market. The enterprise is planning to boost its output in the coming years and capture at least a 20% share of the world market," Loktionov said at a ceremony of opening a new Katod manufacturing facility.
According to the CEO, the new manufacturing facility that will be made operational will allow the enterprise to increase its output by 30%.
Earlier, Katod Enterprise was capable of producing up to 30,000 electro-optical image converters annually, while now this figure will grow to 40,000, Loktionov added.
