IZHEVSK, March 3. /TASS/. Russia's Kalashnikov Group has invested 2.1 bln rubles ($27.2 mln) into production facilities upgrade in 2015, up 1.5 times year-on-year, press service of the Russian small arms manufacturer said on Thursday.
"2.1 bln rubles [$28.6 mln] was invested into the upgrade of existing machine tool fleet and production processes, integrated overhaul and introduction of information technologies in 12 months of 2015, 1.5 times more than in 2014," the press service said.
Over 3 bln rubles ($40.8 mln) were invested into equipment upgrade and optimization of production and business processes in the last two years, Chief Executive of Kalashnikov Concern Alexei Krivoruchko said. "We plan to nearly double production to 17.7 bln rubles ($240.8 mln) and diversify the product range in 2016," said the executive.
