NOVO-OGAREVO, February 17. /TASS/. Russia confirmed its readiness to meet all the commitments under Paks nuclear power plant project in Hungary, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday after talks with Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"Concerning the Paks nuclear power plant, total [project] financing amounts to 12 bln euro, with 80% to be secured at the expense of the Russian loan," Putin said.
"I confirmed to the prime minister today that the Russian side is fully ready to perform undertaken obligations," the Russian President said.
The Paks nuclear power plant was built with Russia’s participation. Russia and Hungary agreed to build new power units at the power plant in January 2014.
