Russia's ruble on the rise amid Brent prices close to $35 per barrel

The recovery in oil prices follows the reports about Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak meeting with the Saudi Arabian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi in Doha on Tuesday

MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. The euro fell by by 94 kopecks to 84.86 rubles on the Moscow Exchange at the opening of trading on Tuesday.

At the same time, the dollar fell by by 97 kopecks to 75.98 rubles.

The ruble strengthens following the recovery in oil prices after the reports about Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak meeting with Saudi Arabian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi in Doha on Tuesday. The ministers are going to discuss the situation in the oil market.

Tuesday morning the price of Brent crude oil soared by 5% to $35.02 per barrel.
