MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/. Russia’s agricultural watchdog has reserved the right to ban corn and soy imports from the United States, a senior official said on Tuesday following the talks with the American side.

"We have retained this right and asked them to provide us with written explanations," said Alexei Alekseyenko, an aide to the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Veterinarian and Phytosanitary Control. The ban will be imposed if the situation remains unchanged and the violations still exist, he added.
