Ukraine to lose $1.1 bln on export in 2016 due to Russia’s embargo — NBU governor

Restrictions on export to Russia and restriction on transit of locally-made goods via its territory may reduce Ukraine's export revenues by $1.1 bln, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine says

KIEV, February 3. /TASS/. Ukraine’s losses on export due to Russia’s restrictions will top $1.1. bln in 2016, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Valeria Gontareva said on Wednesday.

"According to our estimates, restrictions on export to the Russian Federation and restriction on transit of locally-made goods via the territory of the Russian Federation may reduce our export revenues by $1.1 bln this year," she said.

According to Gontareva, Ukraine will lose a total of $2.5 bln "due to the plunge of global prices."
