CAIRO, February 2. /TASS/. Joint Russian-Egyptian inter-governmental commission on trade, economic and scientific cooperation is holding a session in Cairo on Tuesday.
The commission is co-chaired by the Russian and Egyptian ministers of industry and trade Denis Manturov and Tarek Kabil. The Russian minister will also meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and members of the country’s government.
The sides plan to sign several documents, including memorandums on mutual understanding on implementing the project on establishing a Russian industrial zone in Egypt, as well as on the issue of developing investment cooperation between Russian Direct Investment Fund, Egypt’s National Bank and Misr bank.
Manturov already came to Cairo with a business mission in May 2015. Preliminary agreements were reached then on selling 12 SSJ-100 jets to Egypt by Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation.
